David Samarco is a graduate of California State University, Fresno with a bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing. He earned his Juris Doctor from San Joaquin College of Law and is currently certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation law.

Mr. Samarco served for eight years as a sergeant in the US Army Reserves before embarking on his academic and legal career. He brings more than three decades of workers’ compensation experience to Berry, Smith & Bartell.

Mr. Samarco has also served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Fresno Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.

Committed to his community, Mr. Samarco served the City of Clovis as a Personnel Commissioner for twenty-five years, during which time he worked to ensure the integrity of the hiring and personnel process and was honored several times for his service. Mr. Samarco enjoys golf and spending time with his grandchildren, as well as supporting the arts through Children’s Musical Theater and StageWorks, Fresno.
